Either <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8211; You go to click the Enable Editing button and Excel completely hangs on you or<\/li>\n<li>&#8211; You get the \\&#8221;\\&#8221;Excel (Protected Mode) has stopped working! error.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>SOLUTION:<\/h3>\n<p>There seems to be an issue with the Display Link drivers. This post is as of December 1, 2016 and the driver has not been updated by Display Link yet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Try the below and it should work for you.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open a blank excel document.<\/li>\n<li>Go to file<\/li>\n<li>Go to options<\/li>\n<li>Go to advanced<\/li>\n<li>Under Display<\/li>\n<li>Check the box&#8230;Disable graphics hardware acceleration.<\/li>\n<li>Click apply.
